Sometimes, I feel sad,
I feel as though the whole world hates me,
But they don't.

Sometimes I feel nervous,
I feel as though my butterflies will ruin everything,
But they don't.

And sometimes I feel as though I can't do anything right,
But I can,
I can,
I really can.

Sometimes I feel happy,
I feel as though my smile takes up my whole face,
and it does,

Sometimes I feel excited,
I feel so excited I almost wet myself,
and it's good,
It's good,
It's really good,
Life's good.
Sometimes we just don't know it.

Homework Should be Banned!

I strongly believe that homework should be banned all around the world forever and that there are no signs of it anywhere.
What good does homework have? I mean, personally, I haven’t learnt anything extra from doing homework, and the majority of students around the world who receive homework have absolutely no interest in it at all. Homework makes children annoyed, which means they get questions wrong, so then they have to put up with lousy punishments back at school.
Homework is like a brother or sister, it’s just plain annoying. It is also a total time waster and should not be completed. Poor, innocent kids get given infuriating work to do in their free time during the week, the only time they have to chill out and relax. Children shouldn’t have to waste their time doing school work all over again at home, when they could be having a go at a worthwhile activity.
As I was saying earlier, homework minimises a child’s free time, which means they haven't got an opportunity to play any sports or join in on any fun games and activities. In result of that, kids become lazy and don’t get the recommended daily amount of excersize a child should be getting. No wonder the childhood obesity rate is rising!
Homework can put children under a lot of stress, and can cause anxiety. Kids become worried about whether or not they have completed their homework properly, because if they don’t, there is always a consequence. Parents also become stressed out because of their children persistently asking them for help with homework. It is a teacher’s job to teach work, not a parents’. Children do not deserve to be put under so much pressure and annoyance.
In conclusion, I am certain that homework should be banned around the world for good and I am very eager to see it go.

What was Happening?

What was happening,
I was about to explode,
I was really stuck,
too much overload,
what was happening,
I had no clue,
all I knew,
was I really needed the loo,
but wait a minute,
I saw a light,
could I get there,
I just might,
I got to my knees,
I started to crawl,
but the horrible pain,
I almost began to bawl,
but something stopped me,
I started to rise,
what was happening,
was a big surprise,
I felt no more pain,
I was in my bed,
I was nice and comfy,
with my teddy bear Fred!

Smoking Should be Illegal in Australia

I strongly believe that smoking should be illegal in Australia and I’m confident you will be as well after you read my argument.

Firstly, smoking can take over your life, and it can become a habit that is extraordinarily tricky to get out of. As soon as you place a cigarette in your mouth, you are making one of the biggest mistakes you could ever make. I don’t think anyone should have to be put under so much pressure.

Secondly, if you take the unfortunate choice of smoking, you will sadly lose years of your life. There are horrible chemicals inside cigarettes that make them weapons against the human body. So if someone offers you a cigarette, reject their offer and say no, or you could come up with an excuse like ‘Oh, well I visited the doctors the other day and he said I have to make sure that I don’t smoke or drink any alcohol.’ You only have one chance at life, so why waste it?

Thirdly, everything about smoking is negative, and has no positives. There are so many dreadful illnesses that are caused from smoking, such as lung cancer, heart disease, rotten teeth, yellow fingers and heaps more deadly sicknesses. Never take the risk of putting a creature like that into your mouth.

Also, smoking doesn’t just have effect on you, but it has effect on everyone around you as well. Just say you go outside and have a quick smoke, you leave behind smokey air that others inhale. People definitely don’t have the right to have to put up with breathing in smokey air, when they have made the right choice of being a non-smoker.

Having cigarettes around your house is a danger if you have children, because your kids could find them lying around the house where you accidentally leave them. And guess what? If they were little kids, they wouldn’t know any better but to put them in their mouth. Having children is a big responsibility, and if you’re going to let them eat your cigarettes and become really sick, what’s the whole point of having children in the first place?

Lastly, people waste SO much money on cigarettes, they waste thousands of dollars a year. Just think of how useful those thousands could of been. You could of been saving up for a new car or even on your way to affording a new house, but instead smokers choose to waste that money on cigarette packs.

In conclusion, I believe that smoking should be illegal in Australia because people won’t be under so much pressure, they will live longer, they will have better health, they won’t have as much excuses to waste money, they’re kids won’t be in as much danger and the public won’t have to breath in smokey air. That’s why I believe smoking should be illegal in Australia.

To Blame, Or Not To Blame?

“Our cat has made some horrendous problems in our life,” a family in Berwick confide, “But should we blame it for it’s terrible actions, or could someone or something hold the blame?” It is very unusual, but as they dig deeper into the mystery, they might be able to find an answer… Mum, Lisa Jones tells the story.
“The most horrible catastrophe our cat has caused was to set our house on fire. Unlucky for us, it was quarter to 2 in the morning, which meant we had to get up, (when we were half asleep) and call the fire brigade as quick as possible. Then we collected as much major belongings as possible, and in result of that, the t.v fell on my arm, so I received many gashes, but I had to move on. I gathered all my children together, (they are Brody, who was 12, Amelia, who was 9 and Josh who was 6) and we escaped our burning house.  Just as we broke free, the fire brigade arrived and took us to safety, and I also managed to get my gashes patched up. That was the last time we saw our house, and our cat.
In the mean time, we had no choice but to live with my parents. 7 months later, we were blessed with a new house, when Josh, who was now 7, spotted our evil cat. I was lost for words knowing that it had survived 7 months on it’s own, and also that it found us again. I didn't know what to do next, but luckily Amelia suggested that I should ring the vet. It would have been a great idea, if I had a phone. Both my mobile and home phone got burnt in the fire, and we don’t have enough money to be able to afford new ones. In the end, I decided to just deal with our cat for as long as we could, and keep an eye out for any crucial clues.”
